The "My Advice to You" wood sculpture is part of my "If Only They Could Speak" mature people face collection. The image of the woman I used as a reference in this carving just looked as if she was ready to give some words of wisdom.
Each piece in this collection is made from a black walnut tree log. The logs come from pruned branches of an existing 110+ year old tree in the state of Michigan. The variation in tones of the wood as the piece is carved add to the overall effect of the sculpture. The piece is wall mount ready or free standing as shown.
It measures 5" x 4" x 11". Finished in Danish oil and a paste wax topcoat.
