"The Hand" wood sculpture is my attempt at carving a human hand. It is carved from a basswood block.
It measures 4" x 3" x 9". The base coat is Danish oil. The base is top finished in black paint and the hand is finished with watered down earth tone paints. A final coat of brown paste wax was then applied to the hand part of the sculpture.
