Intarsia Rosette Hex Sign

The Intarsia Pennsylvania Dutch Hex Sign series is inspired by the many farmers who have adorned their barns with painted hex signs since the 1830's. Some believe the hex signs were drawn for pure aesthetics keeping in mind the beauty of symmetry while others understood the hex to be powerful symbolism for protection and abundance on the farm. My take on the hex sign is to use the Intarsia woodworking technique to enhance the geometric shapes by giving the sign a dimensional effect. All hex sign patterns in the series are my original designs.

The Rosette design is the oldest symbol used and it symbolizes "Good Luck"

It measures 6" in diameter and is available in 4 color combinations.
